Christmas Hidden Bauble Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Press the play button in the left center of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The upper right corner of the welcome screen has a sound control button.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select hidden objects or interact with in-screen buttons.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select hidden objects or interact with on-screen buttons.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The top center shows how many of the 10 ornaments have been found & what level number you are on.
    • The upper right corner has 3 buttons for returning home, restarting the level, and controlling game music.
    • The lower right corner has a hints button and a remaining level time timer. Left of the timer is a button for adding 10 seconds to your time limit.
    • The level select screen shows the level numbers of unlocked levels & gray locks over locked levels.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • Tap on each of the hidden ornaments to select them.
      • If you select them correctly the outline where it was located disappears.
      • If you select incorrectly a red X shows where you selected.
    • Timing
      • You have 50 seconds to beat each level.
      • If you select incorrectly multiple times consecutively in a short period of time you will incur a 5 second penalty.
    • Hints
      • You get one hint to beat each level.
      • If you lose a stage
  • Levels
    • This game has 15 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by finding all the baubles before the timer reaches zero.
      • You lose a level if the timer reaches zero.
      • This game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of any failed level.
  • Tips
    • Contrast
      • Some bauble have high contrast while others have much lower contrast.
      • Find the easiest bauble first and make progress early on in the level so you have lots of time left to find the last few ornaments.
    • Location
      • Bauble can be located anywhere on each level. Pay particular attention to doorways, windows, lights, and trees.
      • If you fail a level the ornaments will be located in the same spot as they were on the prior play of that level.
    • Hints
      • You only get a single hint on each stage, so save it until you only have 1 ornament left to find.
      • If you are almost out of time you can use a hint even if you have multiple ornaments left as the ornaments will be in the same location on the next play of the level.
